Do you have knowledge you can share with the Software Architecture Forum?

The JCSE is looking for experts in the Software Archtiecture Industry that can share their views and experience at the Software Archtecture Forum.

The JCSE Software Architecture Forum started the year with an Open Spaces discussion to define and vote on the areas of interest within the community. These areas of interest were grouped into the following discussion topics for future forum events:

  • Agile and Architecture: Including practices such as continuous integration
  • Definition of the architect: 
  • Architecture and value: •Artefacts and their purpose •Processes •How are other people doing it?
  • Emerging computing platforms and solutions: •Social computing (Crowd sourcing) •Social networking •Ubiquitous computing in business
  • Psychology of the Architect: •Including career challenges and personality styles
  • Architecture enabled IT governance: •The role of the architect in IT governance •Does the architect serve the process or does process serve architecture
  • Solutions and Enterprise Architecture meets Business Architecture
  • Adoption of Cloud computing: •Including  Public and Private clouds

As this is a community forum we would like to give all industry professionals the opportunity to present on any of these topics at one of our events this year.

Notes to the Presenter:
  • Presenters will be selected based on relevant experience in the subject domain.
  • At minimum the presenter's talk should introduce the topic, provide some background and present a position where required.
  • We require a short bio and primer for the talk.
  • The event organisers need to review the presentation slides ahead of schedule for quality assurance purposes.
  • Slides decks can be branded to any company.
  • Presentations must not contain and commercial or sales-driven content
  • Presenters are encouraged to provide a short biography at the beginning of their presentations
  • The event follows a forum format. In other words the speaker should encourage discussion throughout the presentation
  • Presenters are advised to limit their presentations to 30 minutes (with a max of 1 hour) to ensure event attendees have the opportunity to ask questions, and debate the topic in the spirit of the forum format.
