An action-packed start to 2009
So far, 2009 has been action-packed, with the JCSE organising/taking part in a number of major events.
27 March 2009
The biggest accomplishment so far was our participation in the CeBIT trade show in Germany. We were closely involved in organising the South African National Pavilion and in developing a consistent message that would help stamp South Africa's presence on the international ICT map.
The Communications research survey conducted in February gave us a better understanding of your information needs and desires. We have started to incorporate your feedback into our planning. We have successfully re-branded the XP Forum as the Agile Forum. Hollard Insurance hosted the first Agile Forum, which took place on 17 March. The first Master Class of the year, "How to Slay a Werewolf" and the first "Intro to CMMI" course have also been run in March. In addition, we had a significant presence ITWeb's e-Government conference.
And all this in the first three months of the year.
Coming up are the launch of the new Architecture Forum on 8 April and representation at the SEPG Forum in North America, the ICSE 2010 workshop in Cape Town and the Broadband Summit in Johannesburg.
