The JCSE introduced the SEI’s Team Software ProcessSM and Personal Software ProcessSM (TSPSM and PSPSM) methodologies which speed up the achievement of CMMI.Experience has shown that within the first year of implementing TSP/PSP software defects in the field decrease by an order of magnitude, software development teams are able to forecast delivery dates with little error and can accurately determine at the start of a project the resources that will be needed.
