Create it; protect it - and make money.
Intellectual property can result in considerable benefits to its creator.
Intellectual property could cover patents (which would in turn relate to new inventions) or copyright (the creation of artistic works such as circuitry) or legends (such as the written word).
In addition trade marks are so important: they are the fingerprints which manufacturers leave in the market place, each manufacturer having a different fingerprint from the other.
