There are various ways to decompose (design) your software. Layering is one popular way of doing it. The aim of this talk is to present an alternative way of designing based on Lean concepts of Value and Flow, and taking lessons from Lean Manufacturing.

Joshua Lewis has an MEng from Wits in Information Engineering. He has worked in the software development industry since 2005 at various types and sizes of companies. He also co-lectures a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Masters course at Wits.
