Scrum is a methodology that has seen a huge upswing in adoption in recent years. While there is a lot of focus on the scrum master, there is certainly less focus on product ownership. For a long time Aslam Khan has been wary of the way product ownership is “taught” in certified scrum courses, and the way it is typically implemented in Scrum teams. He thinks the fundamental tension of product ownership is not being addressed. At the heart of this talk Aslam explored the tension that a product owner needs to resolve and some ways of resolving that tension. He also discussed the imbalance in the responsibilities of product ownership and software developers.
